Hard Chargin' Monnig wins at Tri State Speedway!

                                                                                                                                                                              October 3rd, GRANITE CITY, ILLINOIS-- It wasn't looking to promising when Mike Monnig  drew his number for the heat race Saturday night in B- Modified. He drew last place in the heat race that determines your spot in the feature.  It was slow going but he managed to work his way up to 4th in the heat race.

This lined him up to start 10th out of a 22 car field for the feature. It took him 12 laps to work his way up to the lead, and he never looked back after that, he would lead the rest of the race. This is Mike's first win of 2009. 

Mike's pit crew for the weekend included his father Bob Monnig, brother Lonnie Monnig and nephew Cullen Thompson.   Mike owns and operates Mike's Automotive in Big Springs.
