Colorado Gets Past Blues In Denver

DENVER – After getting out to a 1-0 and later a 2-1 lead, the St. Louis Blues were run over on Tuesday night by the Colorado Avalanche, 5-2.
The Blues got off to a good start when Eric Brewer scored his sixth of the year to give his team a 1-0 lead, and after Colorado tied it Erik Johnson gave the Blues a 2-1 lead with his fifth of the year later in the period. The Avalanche tied it before the end of the period when Brandon Yip scored his first of two on the night, one of four straight goals for Colorado.
Now 25-25-9, the Blues next play on Wednesday, February 9, at home against the Detroit Red Wings. Game time at the Scottrade Center is 7 p.m.
