Riverfront Cultural Society Offered Guests an Enjoyable Saturday Evening

By Sue Blesi

By the time Saturday evening arrived, some fairgoers were ready for a more laid-back evening and sought out the quieter pace and cooler breezes behind Riverfront Cultural Society where they could talk, eat good food, listen to good music, and watch the St. Louis Hoop Dancers.

Dinner was served from the window of the RCS Kitchen and included several options. The free outdoor concert by the Maple Jam Band made the evening complete with their wide variety of familiar blues and rock songs, but there was more to come. As the sun went down, the St. Louis Hoop Dancers came on the scene, twirling and amazing the audience with their glow-in-the-dark hoops.

A good-sized crowd gathered for this event.
