Though the temperatures may still be climbing, tonight may prove that it's never too early to get into the holiday spirit, thanks to the "Christmas In July" movie screening.
Gates at the Clara Eitmann-Messmer Amphitheater will open at 7:15 p.m., and an open-air showing of the 2003 Christmas comedy Elf, starring Will Ferrell, begins at dark.
Not only that, but the evening festivities will have a particularly special attendee: Santa Claus himself. Guests are encouraged to wear their pajamas to complete the ambiance.
The event is sponsored by First Bank. An entry fee is set at $2 each, and bringing a lawn chair or blanket is recommended. A full range of concessions will be available for purchase.
