Union Police Report, Stolen Signs Recovered

Wednesday, July 21: Recovered Property. About 7:45 p.m., Sgt. Michael R. Williford of the Union Police Department recovered the following stolen signs from the yard of 1374 W. Main Street. One – Ron Keeven; Two – Isgriggs; One – Eckelkamp; One – Ralph Sudholt; One – Dick Stratman; One – Emmanuel Lutheran School; One - For Rent 583-3617; One - For Rent 583-4259; Three – Sharon Birkman; One – Nothing’s too hard for God 1-800-4-prayer; One – Prudential 636-779-1100 Shelly Hawley 314-486-2255; One – Bob Coplelan For Sale Realty Net 584-5015; and Six – Paul Arand 98th District. Officer Williford is attempting to contact the owners or representatives to return the signs to their owners. They have been photographed and placed in the garage at the Union Police Department. There are no suspects at this time.

Wednesday, July 21: Leaving Scene of Motor Vehicle Accident. A 38-year-old man, Charles Thilking reported that his vehicle was damaged on the parking lot at East Central College (1964 Prairie Dell Road). The driver’s side taillight was broken. It was unknown what caused the damage. Nothing further.

Wednesday, July 21: Property Damage (Misdemeanor) Jeremie Jackson, 31, reported that sometime within the last week someone pulled the wiring for his trailer out from underneath his Ford truck. He is unsure of the exact location or date of the crime.

Wednesday, July 21: Bad Check – Felony. A 32-year-old white female, Tammy Highley, from St. Clair, had checks stolen from her residence in St. Clair during a burglary in May 2010. One of the stolen checks was passed at the Union WalMart on June 20. Another was passed at Fastrip in Union on June 20. The suspect pawned a laptop computer in Sullivan that was stolen in the burglary. The investigation continues.

Wednesday, July 21: Stealing All Other / Under $50. Victim was Mobile More Than Convenience, 514 W. Hwy. 50. Suspect described as white male, dark short hair, tan skin, in his 20’s in an older white four-door, possibly a Jeep Cherokee, had black roof rack. Stole $9.82 in gas. Traveled east on Hwy. 50. Clerk reported the suspect pulled up to pump 9 about 5:10 p.m., pumped gas and drove off. Nothing further.

Thursday, July 22: Fugitive Arrest of Miranda Lynn Bushmann, 21, at Stone Creek Plaza W. Hwy. 50 on warrant from Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. Address of party arrested: 3270 Bayvue, Arnold, Mo.  Charged with Failure to Appear – Traffic Charges. Bond $236 cash only. Subject released to Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.

Thursday, July 22: Fugitive Arrist of Jason Paul Lodes, 25, at #3 Truman Court on warrant from FC – Division II. Warrant for Passing Bad Check – Probation Violation. No bond. Subject released to Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.
