Schneider Dodge-Jeep Is Awarded "2009 Rookie Of The Year" From Featherlite Trailers

During a Featherlite Trailer company meeting in Rochester, Minn., on February 23 and 24, Schneider Dodge Jeep & Featherlite Trailers in Hermann was awarded “2009 Rookie of the Year” from Featherlite Trailers. The award is given to the best first year dealership in the United States and Canada; overall sales determined who won the award. Schneider was one of 12 dealerships in the running for the award.

Lucas Schneider, co-owner of Schneider Dodge, said the dealership was very excited to receive the award because a lot of people consider the trailers to be a kind of luxury item.

“We are selling a premium product that many people would consider to be a luxury item and in some cases, our product is twice the price of the competition,” said Schneider. “In a down economy, a product that is the highest priced in the class wouldn't be expected to sell that well.”

Schneider said the sales prove that some buyers in this economy are still interested in quality not just a cheap price.

Schneider Dodge-Jeep started selling Featherlite Trailers in addition to their vehicle inventory in August 2008, selling 60 trailers since they started.
