Update: Lady Bearcats Advance To District Title Game

In the second round of district play, the Hermann Lady Bearcats continued their winning ways on Wednesday night, improving to 24-3 on the year and advancing to the district championship game (Class 3, District 9) with a 77-41 victory over Steeleville. Shelby Winkelmann led all scorers with 38 points.

With the win, Hermann will next play on Friday, March 5, against Cuba (23-4) who advaned with a 52-42 victory over Fatima. Game time at Linn High School is 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, the New Haven Lady Shamrocks (8-19) have also advanced to the district championship game (Class 2, District 5) by posting a 54-37 win over Christian (17-7). They will next take on St. Vincent (18-8) on Friday night at New Haven High School. Game time is 6 p.m.
