Jefferson College Choral Concert March 14 Celebrates Unique Composers

The Jefferson College Music Department will present “Pathfinders in Choral Music,” a
choral concert celebrating composers who dared to think outside the box, on Sunday,
March 14, at 3 p.m. in the Fine Arts Theatre on the Hillsboro campus.
 
The concert will be performed by the Madrigal/Contempo Ensemble, Chamber Choir and Community Chorale
 
In addition to special guest, Native American flutist Mark Holland, concert selections will include Native American Ambiances by Jackson Berkey and five Hebrew Love Songs by Eric Whitacre. The performance will also include music by Tomas Luis Victoria, Carlo Gesualdo, Gerald Finzi, René Clausen, Lloyd Swingle, Bobby Troup/Kirby Shaw, Brent Allred, and Dean Estabrook.
 
The concert is suitable for all ages and is one of several arts/entertainment activities hosted by Jefferson College this spring. Admission is free.
