Mizzou Advances to Second Round With Win Over Clemson

Tigers will now face the 28-6 West Virginia Mountaineers

BUFFALO – Despite coming into the tournament fresh off of a messy loss to Nebraska in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament, the Missouri Tigers brought their A-Game on Thursday in Round One of the NCAA Tournament, defeating Clemson, 86-78.

Kim English and Keith Ramsey scored 20 points each, helping Mizzou turn a nine-point first half deficit into a 39-39 game by the half, and eventually an eight-point victory.

It's the eighth time in school history they've made the championship game

The No. 6 Washington University in St. Louis women’s basketball team erased a 12-point deficit with under 10 minutes to play in the second half to defeat No. 1 and previously unbeaten Amherst College in overtime, 86-75, in the 2010 NCAA Division III semifinals on Friday, March 19, at the Shirk Center in Bloomington, Ill.
 

Wash U's Beyer Repeats as 400 IM Champion

Beyer, who became just the third student-athlete in Washington University history to capture an individual national championship at last year’s NCAA championships, is now the first to capture two national titles.

Senior Alex Beyer secured his position as one of the greatest swimmers in Washington University in St. Louis history as he won his second-straight national championship in the 400-yard individual medley at the 2010 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday, March 18, at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
 

Blues Get Much Needed Win Over Rangers

NEW YORK – In a game that they absolutely needed to have, the St. Louis Blues responded on Thursday night in New York, topping the Rangers, 4-3.

Brad Boyes (13), Mike Weaver (1), Erik Johnson (7) and Paul Kariya (16) all scored for the Blues, while goalie Ty Conklin made 26 saves.

St. Louis (32-28-9) will next play on Saturday night, March 20, in New Jersey when they take on the New Jersey Devils. Game time is 6 p.m.

Billikens Get Win in First Round of CBI

The win puts the Bills (21-11) into next Monday's quarterfinals against the winner of Wednesday's Akron-Green Bay contest.

ST. LOUIS - Kwamain Mitchell scored a game-high 19 points and Willie Reed added 17 points, eight rebounds and four blocks to lead Saint Louis to a 63-54 victory over Indiana State Tuesday in the opening round of the College Basketball Invitational at Chaifetz Arena.

The win puts the Bills (21-11) into next Monday's quarterfinals against the winner of Wednesday's Akron-Green Bay contest. The game will be played at Chaifetz Arena, with the starting time to be announced. Indiana State finished its season 17-15.

Drury Women Suffer Season-Ending Loss

Drury, making its eighth straight NCAA-II Tournament appearance and fifth visit to a regional final, saw its 10-game winning streak snapped as the Lady Panthers finished 28-7.

HOUGHTON, Mich. - Top seed Michigan Tech thwarted a late Lady Panthers' run with a 15-0 spurt of its own late in the second half, pulling away for an 84-68 victory over third-seeded Drury in the NCAA-II MIdwest Region title game before 3,131 fans at the SDC Gym here Tuesday night.

Waynesville's Pritchard, Lady Panthers Move Into NCAA-II Sweet 16

HOUGHTON, Mich. - Anyone who has followed the career of Katie Pritchard through her prep days at Waynesville High or during her basketball and soccer careers at Drury knows she has always been considered a cool customer.

More confirmation came on Sunday, when the sophomore guard stepped up and hit four big free throws and a pivotal jump shot in the final two minutes to help third-seeded Drury defeat No. 7 seed Northern Michigan 59-51 and move into Tuesday's NCAA-II Midwest Regional championship game.

Washington University Women Advance to Ninth Final Four

The No. 6 Washington University in St.  Louis women’s basketball team clinched its NCAA Division III record ninth  trip to the Final Four and avenged its 2009 national championship loss to  George Fox University in the process, upending the Bruins, 59-52, on  Saturday, March 13, at the Washington University Field House in St. Louis,

Drury Swimming And Diving Makes It An NCAA-II National Championships Sweep

The Panthers become the first program to sweep the men's and women's national titles in back-to-back years

CANTON, Ohio - Drury's rich swimming tradition added another historic chapter on Saturday, as the Panthers became the first program to sweep the men's and women's national titles in back-to-back years when they captured both at the NCAA-II Championships at the C.T. Branin Natatorium.

The Drury men finished with 538 points for a 135-point victory, beating runner-up Incarnate Word (403). Wayne State was third with 343 points, while Grand Valley State (314) finished fourth and Ouachita Baptist (300) was fifth.
