After picking up a win against Ava Wednesday night in Rolla, Mo., the Hermann girls basketball team will face an evenly matched team - Mt. Vernon - on Saturday in Springfield.

Head coach Todd Anderson said though Hermann hasn't played Mt. Vernon in recent seasons, he has watched the team once in person this season and sees a good match up.

“They're probably very similar in a lot of ways. A lot of their scoring will come from guards, like ours,” said Anderson. “We don't have that big post player to run things through underneath.”
