Vendors Sought for Gerald's Car Show

GERALD -- Vendor booth spaces are available for businesses and local organizations at the upcoming Classics at the Depot Car Show. The event is hosted by the Gerald Community Foundation and will be held Sunday, August 8, in Gerald at Legion Park. The booth fee is $25.

Classics at the Depot Car Show Is Coming to Gerald

GERALD -- The Gerald Community Foundation has taken over an event formerly known as the Rosebud Lions Car Show. Now known as Classics at the Depot, it will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2010, in the Legion Park in Gerald, at the historic Rock Island Railroad Depot.

Registration runs from 9:00 a.m. to noon, with judging beginning at 11:30 a.m. The cost for registration is $15, for displaying, $10. The first 50 cars will receive a dash plaque.

NASCAR legend Kenny Shrader was the headliner and quest speaker at the 2010 43rd annual Banquet of Champions in St. Louis Saturday, January 23. The banquet is put on by the St. Louis Auto Racing Fan Club.

On Saturday, January 9, 2010, The River City Cruisers Car Club Christmas party took place at the home of Wilmer and Jose Erfling on Massas Creek road just outside of Hermann. Besides the great meal, the annual affair includes elections of new officers as well as any new additions to the local Car Club Hall Of Fame.

Record Attendance for 2009 Annual Car Show in the Park

The River City Cruisers could not have asked for a better day for their annual car show in the Hermann City Park.  There were 257 cars officially registered. Put that together with the display-only cars and the River City Cruisers club cars, and you would get around 400 cars in the lower City Park on Sunday.

The 10th annual River City Cruisers Car Show in the Park is today in the Hermann Main park. Registration is until 12:30, and trophy presentation should be around 4:00 to 4:30.

The weather is perfect for the show and organizers are expecting huge numbers.
