The Swiss Miss #5: Jamie Baumstark meets the bears in Bern

A couple of eye-opening trips to Germany and the Swiss capital of Bern add to Jamie's European adventure.

Bonjour Hermann,

If any of you have taken a look at a European map and noticed Switzerland, you will see that it is a very small country. Ever person I have met in Switzerland has not only been proud to call it their country but they speak much about how small it is but how nice to be able to drive four hours and be on the other side of the country. This has been great for me because I have been lucky enough to see the many parts of Switzerland so far and I plan to see many more:)

The Swiss Miss #2: Jamie Baumstark meets, eats and competes with Swiss volleyball team

Greeting from Switzerland,

So, let's begin with me explaining how captivating the city is here in Biel! There are about 60,000 people here, and all the buildings are so unique and classy looking. We have a beautiful lake that surrounds part of the city with also a big hill, which I call the mountain because it is so big, and the Swiss Alps in the far distance! I have been here for about two months now and I still can't get enough of the scenery.
