Food Pantry Group to Meet Regarding Franklin County Needs

The Franklin County Community Empowerment Collaboration (FCCEC) invites Franklin County food pantry representatives and other interested community members to meet and collaborate on issues regarding the expanded need in the area.  The meeting will be Tuesday, September 14 from 9:30 – 11:00 in the 2nd Floor Training Room at the Franklin County Government Center located at 400 E. Locust Street in Union.

Volunteers Needed by Owensville Senior Center at Fair

The Owensville Senior Center is looking for volunteers to help with their quilt booth at the Gasconade County Fair. The Fair runs from July 28 through 31. The Senior Center’s drawing for the quilt raffle takes place at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, at the fairgrounds.

St. John’s Mercy Hospital to Co-Host Blood Drives in New Haven, Pacific and Washington

St. John’s Mercy Hospital works with area schools, churches, businesses and other
organizations to collect life-saving blood products from generous donors. Donations
provide life support for patients at St. John’s Mercy. Upcoming events include:                         

3 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 10, at the Meramec Ambulance District, 429 East Osage Street
in Pacific.   

St. John’s Mercy Hospital is Accepting Applications for Student Volunteers

St. John's Mercy Hospital is recruiting young adults for its summer Student
Volunteer Program.  Applicants must be at least 15 years old, be available to
volunteer on a weekly basis and commit to serving at least 40 hours by the end of
the summer.
 
Application packets for the program are available from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday to
Saturday and from noon to 6:30 p.m. on Sundays at the hospital’s Information Desk in
the main lobby. Detailed instructions and requirements are listed in the application

Families-in-Action seeks donations for After-Prom Breakfast and Project Graduation

For all of the to-do surrounding prom--the dresses, the limousine rides and the parties--many Hermann High School students look for a safe and alcohol-free environment where they can have fun after the dance. The same goes for graduation night, and that's why Families-in-Action is hoping for community donations to support both an After-Prom Breakfast and Project Gruaduation.
