By Sue Blesi

Commuters will be happy to learn that the newly-completed Hwy. 100 lanes between Washington and I-44 have been opened to traffic as of about 3:15 p.m. Thursday, July 15, by MoDOT and its contractor, Millstone Bangert.

The new lanes were officially dedicated Saturday when people were permitted to walk or ride bicycles on the new westbound lanes.

Although the lanes are open, motorists will need to use caution as road construction workers will still be on the job for a couple more weeks.
