Gerald and Dee Sewell have opened a new bed and breakfast in the former home of New
Haven Folk Artist Dee Dann at 111 Main Street. The second floor and deck of this
quaint home provides an incredible view of the Missouri River.

According to David Menke’s history, New Haven: The Early Years, a Pictorial History
1836-1956, the Sewell property was home to George and Emma Smith in the early 1900s.
George Smith owned a livery stable where the New Haven Post Office and parking lot
is located today.
