St. Alexander's in Belle to Hold Annual Summer Picnic

St. Alexander’s Catholic Church in Belle is holding their annual summer dinner on Sunday, July 11. Serving is from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The menu includes fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, bread and homemade desserts. Drinks include tea, lemonade and coffee.

The meal cost is $8 for adults and $3 for children, with children aged five and under eating for free.

The opportunity to purchase raffle tickets will also be available.

St. Alexander’s is located at 402 West Third Street in Belle.

Holy Family at Port Hudson to Hold Annual Picnic

Holy Family Church at Port Hudson will hold their annual picnic on July 25. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. with Fr. James Foster.

The all-you-can-eat fried chicken and roast beef dinner will the served from 11:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. There will also be homemade ice cream, a silent auction, live music, games and activities for the entire family.

Mark Moebeck will be the entertainment from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Scott Laytham and Karl Holmes are scheduled from 3 to 6 p.m.

St. James UCC Holds Picnic Fundraiser

The annual St. James United Church of Christ 4th of July picnic in Morrison, MO was declared a success by church members and officials.

Raising over $800 from a raffle alone, the annual St. James United Church of Christ 4th of July picnic in Morrison, MO was declared a success by church members and officials.

The gathering, which has been going on for at least 40 years, is used to raise money for the general church fund, with a secondary Sunday School basket raffle to finance a trip to church camp for area children.
